Nowadays, there are several world wide recognized organizations teaching Ninpo, more or less depending of the teachings and lineage of Sensei Takamatsu Toshitsugu.
Bujinkan
"Divine Warrior Training Hall"
武神館
The oldest contemporary organization that teach Ninpo/Ninjutsu was founded by Soke Masaaki Hatsumi, in the honor of his teacher Takamatsu Toshitsugu, considered to be a budo legend, the last real ninja known in modern times. Before passing away in 1972, he transferred to Sensei Hatsumi the grand masterships of the 9 martial arts schools inherited from his grandfather Shinryuken Toda and from Takage Masaturo Ishitani, constituting actually the base of Budo Taijutsu as is learned today in Bujinkan.
Throughout the years, Sensei Hatsumi perfected, synthesized and transformed the ancient art of Ninjutsu in the modern way of Ninpo. Training generally consists in a collection forms of kihon (or basic) techniques of the total Bujinkan system, a synthese from the 9 different schools combined into a manual called "Ten Chi Jin Ryaku no Maki" (The book of Heaven, Earth and Man). In addition, students learn specific techniques and philosophies from the densho (scrolls) of each of the 9 traditions to round out the training.
The Bujinkan has 10 kyu level ranks and 15 dan level ranks (although the 11th to 15th dan ranks are relatively recent).
